Saturday Visitors

This Saturday the babies had wall-to-wall visitors.  First, Samantha, Mike, and Junior came by for some fun baby visitors.  They got here just in time for feeding, so Sam took Max and Mike rescued Daniel from the feed-yourself Boppy and I fed Caroline.  After lunch, Max sat down for a bit and Daniel got to hang out with Sam.  By this time, Junior had emerged from his car seat and was hanging out with his Daddy.

Look at all that hair!  Caroline is jealous.
Sam got in a few cuddles with Max as well, and with Caroline (though somehow we didn't get a picture of that). And the four of us (three adults and one cute striped baby) hung out talking while the babies took their 90-minute afternoon nap.

Sam tries her hand at two babies at once.  I'm not sure Junior liked sharing her.
Sam had posted a picture of Junior sitting in his cool, lime green Bumbo chair, and I commented how jealous I was.  I'd wanted to get a green one for Max, in keeping with our general Daniel=blue/Max=green theme.  But I had gift cards and coupons at Babies R Us, and Babies R Us only had blue and pink, so we got two blues and one pink.  Sam got the green because she figured it was nicely unisex in case they have a girl in the future.    Smart move.  I realize I never think of that, since we've got boys and girl this time, and since there will be no "next time" for us.  That would be insane.  When Mike went out to take things to the car, he came back with the green chair to trade with us - so Max gets to hang out in a cool, green chair until he grows out of it, at which point it will go back to the Rescinos for "next time".

Max, enjoying his new green Bumbo seat!

And I got news from Sam today that Max seems to have repaid their kindness by talking to Junior about the importance of napping - Junior took his first real nap in his crib today!  SUCCESS!

Mere moments after Sam, Mike, and Junior left, Belén and her boyfriend Hanoi came over - just in time for the next feeding!  Luckily, everyone was interested in feeding a baby.  Belén fed Daniel and Hanoi fed Max, leaving me, once again, with Caroline.  I wonder if she was being shy?  Somehow, I doubt it.

After dinner, Belén spent some time with each baby:

Tickling Daniel's belly
Yeah, I don't think Caroline was being shy
Max got a little flushed being so close to Belén.
Belén and Daniel were deep in discussion.
But they paused long enough to pose for a picture.
Caroline made taking a picture with Belén a challenge.  She, as you may remember, is in the stage where her hand is her favorite flavor.  And try as we might, each time we pulled one hand out of her mouth, she stuffed the other one in:

Right hand in the mouth
Left hand in the mouth
No hands in the mouth?  She's not sure how she feels about that.
Luckily, Daddy came home just in time to get a big smile out of Caroline!
After all that attention, they settled in for quite an evening nap.  And that was just another Saturday in the land of the Salvatores.
