New Hair Cuts on Batman Day

Apparently, Saturday was Batman Day.  And obviously we needed to observe.  Not only did the kids choose Batman shirts to wear, they also brought Batman and Robin to hang out with us.

This is Caroline's version of a "superhero face"

Our activity for the day was haircuts.  Last June, we had our last "Sandy" hair cuts before she moved away and the kids have been apprehensive about getting their hair cut by a "new haircutter".  I reached out to the local multiples parents for suggestions of a new salon.  Another triplet mom recommended this salon, pointing out that they have a little race car for the kids to sit in for their hair cut and a kids play area.  This sounded like a good combination, so we made appointments and headed out.

When we walked in, we were greeted by a stylist with cool purple hair and the boys were a little afraid.  They whispered to me that they didn't know if they liked "the purple hair cutter".  But then they saw the play area and the pile of toys and their fears seemed to melt away.

Caroline went first, climbing up into the little car for her trim from the "purple hair cutter".  Before the snipping got underway, the stylist walked over to a big tv across the room and started a Captain America / Avengers animated movie.  The boys were quickly drawn away from the toys and settled into waiting chairs to watch.  And when it was their turn, with a different stylist, they got to sit in the car and be aimed at the tv screen as well.  And of course there was candy at the end of the visit!

Max looked at his picture and announced that he had "Robin hair", which meant, of course, that Daniel had "Bruce Wayne" hair.  Caroline had "Caroline hair" - and she was just fine with that!
