Jedi Training Academy

It was all the kids could talk about - Jedi Training Academy.  I made sure to check with someone at Disney about it and was told to get to Hollywood Studios early to sign up.  So Day 3 was our first day we worried about trying to get to the park when it opened.  We arrived at the back of the line at 9am (when the gates opened) and still were about 25 minutes back in the line by the time we got to it and when we were assigned a training slot it was for 12:40pm (we actually re-scheduled for 1:10 to make our other reservations work).

And so we arrived back at the sign in location at 12:40 and the kids were the last three of the class to line up and receive their Jedi robes.

Then they were paraded through Hollywood Studios to the Training Ground, with a Jedi in front and in back and a wave of parents on either side.  When we arrived, the kids' group was led to the higher of two platforms and a Jedi Master and some senior trainees engaged in some conversation about the training plan.

Then they spread out on the platform to learn their new moves.

And then Darth Vader came out to challenge each of them.

At the end, everyone got to stand and be recognized as a Padawan.

And now for the professional Disney photos, in no particular order:

And then Google went and made me GIFs of the kids:
