Easter, 2013

Easter this year was a small affair - Joe had to work, so it was just me and the kids with Auntie, Grandma and Grandpa.  Though there was to be a whole Easter feast to be had, Grandma certainly couldn't let the kids miss out on their "cookies" (what they call the cinnamon rolls she makes them when they visit), so they got to start their visit off as usual, begging for food and then running off into the living room to show off to Grandpa the goodies they've gotten.

Auntie tries to fix Caroline's hair while the boys get their "cookies"

Grandpa accepts a gift from Caroline as Daniel looks on jealously.

Max checks me out across the table.

Auntie made deviled eggs! Caroline was a big fan.

See how much she liked the eggs?

Caroline pulled out some Xmas toys

"Want to play?"

"Hey baby, eat ham here often?"

Max is a social drinker

Caroline liked her sparkle vest

Dinner was relatively successful - everybody ate and few things were spilled on the table.  And the kids were good, too (ha! I joke...but they were good).  After dinner and before dessert, Auntie set up an egg hunt.  Each of the kids got a felt basket and there were a dozen eggs laid out for them.

Caroline took the search most seriously

Is there something back there, Daniel?

Max found one!

There's something in Papa's chair!

Moving so fast, one of her eggs popped back out of the basket

Daniel finds another

Of a dozen eggs, Caroline somehow ended up with six.

Another highlight of the night was Caroline's insistence on taking pictures with the "big camera".  Here is Easter as seen through her eyes:

I think that says it all...
