Sunny Weekend

Climate change has made weather in San Francisco's micro-climates weirder than normal.  Last Sunday it rained, in the beginning of the week it was foggy and cold, then it got warmer, and warmer, and this weekend it was sparkling blue skies and seventies.  In February!

Saturday we took advantage of Colleen's offer to visit.  The boys LOVE visiting with her - they flirt with her like you wouldn't believe.  And somehow Caroline doesn't get jealous!  So, Colleen got to feed BOTH boys:

When Colleen left to meet friends at the beach, we got the babies dressed up and headed out to Home Depot to look at window covering options.  Unfortunately, the lady who supposedly knew all about windows was more interested in ogling the babies than helping us with our window needs.  If anyone has a suggestion where we should go to find something that will keep out the sun/heat/cold, but not cause us to drill into our pretty wood window surrounds, drop me a comment!

But look at the outfit Caroline had on - can you blame the lady?

And they all had on their really cute little sneaker socks!

We celebrated Super Bowl Sunday with the Salvateenies' first mid-day nap in their actual cribs.  They snoozed like troopers!  Then it was lunch time and out with Grandma to enjoy the sunny weather.  We walked down to Golden Gate Park and took a stroll around North Lake.  While we were stopped at a bench so the babies could take in the scenery (and we could catch our breath), we heard the clippity clopping of horses coming up the path.  It seems a Park equestrian had gotten lost and was receiving a police escort back to the horse trail - so there were three beautiful horses in a row, parading past the three babies.  Officer Matt Castagnola stopped to give the babies collectible SF Mounted Police trading cards and badge star stickers.  Here he is fishing in his pocket for the gifts:

We made it back just in time for the Super Bowl.  The babies knew to root for Green Bay (Caroline is a big Aaron Rodgers fan - sorry Aunt Lee Ann!), so they were happy with the outcome.
