Summer Outings 2

For July 4th weekend, we went to a BBQ at my friend Jonathan's house.  Though it was filled with folks I know from school, the kids were excited to discover that many of them had brought their children - including 3-year old Stella, who was keen to play hide n seek and new baby Mazzy who they got to take turns holding.  Caroline went full patriot with her outfit, too, which was adorable.

Caroline is continuing her work as a mountain goat, literally climbing the walls.

On the actual Independence Day, Grandma and Boppy babysat while I worked at the Giants game.  They were convinced to take them to the Academy of Sciences, where they discovered that my membership had lapsed.  So they not only took my children to the museum, but they also paid to renew my membership for the year AND got this adorable picture of the kids checking out fish!

That night, I went out to dinner with some friends from out of town.  Since it was going to be too late for the kids to join us, they decided to take part in the outing by selecting my outfit and doing my make-up (complete with hair chalk - "like the fireworks for July 4th!")

Speaking of outfits, Caroline got a new leotard for gymnastics this summer.

But sometimes it was the leotard cover-ups that really made the look.

She also learned how to help with laundry!

And then she was back to being upside down.

And then we were back to the ballpark for another game - $8 tickets to celebrate the Giants' 8-game winning streak in June!

No trip to the ballpark is complete without a trip to the Press Dining Room for some cookies!

And soda from the press box!

And then it was time to bundle up in our top of the section seats - eight in a row!
