Cinco de Mayo de Beisbol

For our first ballgame of the year, we set our sites on Cinco de Mayo (thanks to some discounted employee tickets).

Max was sad that we had to wait in line outside

But once we were in, we popped into the Press Box to see Daddy (and get soda).

We walked around and got some snacks and visited the slides (and Daniel actually slid this time!) And then we trekked up to our seats (Uncle took the escalator up with the kids who were up for it and I walked the ramp up with the one who was a little afraid.)  It was going to be the kids' first time in the upper deck and I wasn't sure how they would feel about it.  Not to worry - they thought it was AWESOME.

And then they cheered "Let's Go Giants, "

We had plenty of opportunity to snuggle together and take selfies.

And then the kids decided it was time to go.  Max was whining to go - because he knew that on the way out I'd promised to let him look for a toy in the store.  I wanted to go visit with Margaret, so we waited until Matt Cain (aka Hartley's Daddy) was taken out of the game in the fifth inning and we started our descent.  We sat down in front of the press box - and it was still the fifth inning.

And then we went into the press box - and it was still the fifth inning.  Colorado scored 13 runs in the fifth inning.  And then, while we watched on tv in the press lounge, the Giants responded with 4.  And so we went across the hall to look at toys, found a Giants jerseyed bear, a Giants jereseyed penguin, and a "blue seal" (Lou Seal) doll, and then headed home.
