Petaluma Lighted Boat Parade

We were invited by Gingere to join her at Petaluma's lighted boat parade.  So we bundled up and drove to the North Bay to collect her, stopped at the dollar store for some gloves, and then rolled into the Petaluma Yacht Club, guests of her mother.  There I bought hot dogs and we filled up on those, popcorn, and water before it was time to sneak outside to see the boats parade through the river.

Santa and Mrs. Claus pull in
Max and Caroline tottered down the gangplank to the dock to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, but Daniel was (understandably) afraid of the crowds and the steep, narrow walk.  He wanted to try, so I tried to take him down solo, but at that point the dock had been closed off because it was too crammed to be safe, so we waited at the top as the Clauses came up to greet us!

Daniel was so excited to have gotten a one-on-one picture that he dashed inside to find his brother and sister and bring them out for a group shot.

All in all, a very fun night - and just got Max more excited to really go ON a boat some day.
