The kids' school has a holiday party every year at which the kids show off their Christmas Carols (and I Have a Little Dreidl). Last year, they spent a lot of time running over to sit on our laps. The difference a year makes is amazing - they stayed seated or standing in their spots the whole time and were generally adorable (which they were last year as well, of course). They sat relatively still for the classical music performance and they all remembered to say "thank you" to Santa for their gifts. After the presentation, they sort of lost interest, playing a bit with their friends and then wanting to go home quickly.
