Wagon Train

For Christmas, Boppy and Grandma bought the kids a Radio Flyer "Triple Play Wagon", a sturdy three-seater in the classic red.  It took a while for it to arrive, and then a while before Uncle and I could get it assembled (and then a while longer while we waited for replacement parts after we messed up), but today we celebrated the Groundhog Day news that Spring is just around the corner with a quick run out to the beach.

"Hey, Mommy, catch up!"

Even though we live only four blocks from the beach, this is the first time the kids have actually gone down onto the sand.  It was late afternoon, chilly and a bit windy, and it was low tide so we didn't get anywhere near the water, but none of this deterred the kids from playing.  Unfortunately, one of their games involved taking handsful of sand and throwing them directly up in the air -- and they haven't quite learned yet how to tell which way the wind is blowing, so they ended up with a face full of sand a few times.

"Come on, Daniel!"

"I'll stay here"

She even did it by herself!
