Where Has December Gone?

Today is the Teenies' 15 month birthday.  There's something special about it, since they were born on the 15th.

That also means we're half-way through December - only 10 days away from Xmas - and we've got a lot of catching up to do on the blog!

The first big social occasion of the month came on the 10th when we were invited to celebrate our good friend Marley's first birthday.  Before the party, we sat the babies' down with Grandma and Grandpa to take some pictures for their annual holiday card.

It was hard to get everyone to look the same direction

"This big"

And even when I did, someone was always making a face:

Grandma looks SURPRISED! while Max points out there are THREE cute babies in this picture.
And then it was off to the party!  Somehow, I got NO pictures of the birthday girl, but I did get plenty of the Teenies making new friends.

"Look! It's a ball!"
Daniel crawled right up, took her hands in his, and smiled.

I think he's working up the courage to ask her to run away with him.

Max really enjoyed playing all the carnival games.

Daniel thinks he's figured out how to win.

See? You just crawl over and put the ball directly in the hole.

Oh? Like this?

Go long!

Yum!

Best babysitter at a birthday party EVER

He didn't flinch as Max batted him in the face and Caroline drooled on his knee

Caroline gets on tippy toe to say hi to her friend Lawrence

Something about this dress brings out Caroline's desire to eat meat with her hands
Here are some picture's Marley's Nana took, to give you the rest of the story.

Caroline liked playing with Grandpa

I ruined this picture by feeding Caroline chicken at JUST the wrong moment

I like how Caroline is patting Lawrence on the head.

Max and the birthday girl

Marley is thinking, "Didn't I just see you in a green shirt?"

By the end of the party, everyone was looking a little tired

Really tired - and a little whiny, too.
To avoid a complete meltdown, we snuck away before the cake cutting and headed home for a nap.  If only the grown-ups had gotten to take one!!!
