On Sunday we had another playdate with Chelsea and Hartley. This time, they came to our house and we headed out to the playground. There was a baseball game happening on the adjacent field and about a zillion kids on the playground, but most of them were older than our kids, so there wasn't much of a line for the swings. Which is good, because there are only two baby swings and Max had decided he wanted to live in his. A few times he asked to be lowered down only to beg back in.

Daniel went exploring and found a treasure - a red leaf! |
In our previous playdates - and for the first half of this one - the kids have more played near each other than played with each other.

Notice Hartley up top, Caroline in the boat, and Daniel outside. Max, of course, was on the swings. |
Halfway through our time at the park, Hartley stopped for a lunch break, and then a little after lunch time with her mom. Caroline insists on calling Hartley "Bay-bee", and decided that made Chelsea "Mommy Bay-bee!" She got comfortable enough with them that when she tripped and her shoe came off, she actually called for "Mommy Bay-bee" before she called for me or "uncle".
Caroline and Hartley really seemed to take to each other by the end of the day.

I promise Hartley wasn't really trying to "heal" Caroline |

Mid-hug, Caroline noticed Hartley's way cool purple shoes |
In other news - Max is a watermelon fiend!
Daniel and Caroline are slightly less enthusiastic.
