Breakfast was the Ohana Brunch at the Disney Polynesian Resort, a pricier and swankier resort than we stayed at, to be sure. It looked like a big Hawaiian plantation-style hotel inside. We went up to the second floor to the restaurant and were seated at a large round table onto which skillets of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and potatoes were brought. We also had bread, fruit, and juice.
And we got visits from Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch! Daniel was still harboring bad feelings about the terrible Stitch ride at Magic Kingdom, so he pleaded not to have to meet him and to get to watch cartoons in the bar instead. A little later, Lilo explained to him that Stitch wasn't bad anymore because she'd helped him learn how to be good and to use his big heart to be caring, and we were able to get a picture at the very end of the meal.
And then we went down to the gift shop where Wendy bought a swimsuit so we could go back to the hotel and get in the pool.
We went to the big pool in the middle of the property but even with their safety vests on, the boys were a little scared. So we bailed out to go back to the Cars-themed pool closer to our room that we'd been in once before. The boys were making a lot of racket complaining about being cold and how their towels wouldn't stay wrapped around their waists and Caroline got frustrated, rolled her eyes, and said to Wendy, "[sigh] I mean, I'm ON VACATION!" It was hilarious.
After we played in the pool for a while and ran, shivering and blue-lipped back to the rooms, we bathed and dressed and got ready to go out to dinner with Boppy at the seafood buffet at the Swan Hotel. Again, there were lowered counters for the kids' food, which Caroline LOVED serving herself from - the silver buffet covers were super fancy. And we were visited by a host of characters as we ate as well.
And then it was back to the hotel again to try to rest up for our last day at the parks!
