We ended June with a celebration of Lawrence's first birthday (known as LTP). Lawrence's mom, Leah, is a friend of the Teenies' grandma and the children all met for the first time at their first birthday party, when Lawrence was just three months old (and yet already threatening to be bigger than the birthday kids).
Lawrence's party was held at My Gym, a local gymnastics club aimed at young children (primarily the 6 and under crowd). We were incredibly lucky that our friend Alexa also works at MyGym, so she came and joined to help wrangle the babies. After a brief introduction, the children were allowed to go wild on the floor and play with all the equipment and toys. This, as you can imagine, was right up the Teenies' alley.

Caroline and Daniel climb up while Uncle Kelly keeps an eye |

Believe it or not, that's giggling on Caroline's face |
Max was an absolute blur - where DID he find that ball? |
Aha! That's where Max found the ball!
Caroline found a ball that matches her outfit |
Now it's Daniel's turn to be a blur! |

Max makes it to the top! (A little later, he took a tumble from this, but he rebounded quickly) |

The biggest hit of the party was a five foot tall Elmo balloon. As you can imagine, Caroline was IN LOVE:
They carried on with him all over the lobby |
Caroline took him for a walk, or maybe it was the other way around |
Daniel: "Hey - they say the party's over!" Max: "Are you sure? I've got a lot more playing to do here." |
At the very end, Caroline finally got her nerve up to try the rock wall. |
Earlier in the week, I gave the kids their first taste of Chinese food - a staple of our neighborhood's cuisine. I dare say they enjoyed it.
Caroline tried on her headband one day, and while I think it looked rather pretty on her ...
... I think she was a little embarrassed about it (or maybe just tired).
