Those sneaky guys!

Today was hot - not as hot as it was threatened to be, and not hot for those of you who live in actual hot parts of the country, but for San Francisco...especially this little corner of San Francisco out by the ocean...it was hot.

After a good morning - Max got up at 7:20 but everyone else slept in until after 8:30 -, and good mid-day naps, we loaded up the car and went out with grandma to run errands.  With Grandma in tow, we could use two strollers when the babies got out of the car and we could leave the babies IN the car for quick "jump in/jump out" stops like the bank or the drug store.

By the end of our errands, the babies were ready to be home and have dinner and Caroline was completely beside herself wailing.  When we got everyone unpacked, we discovered why - her third tooth (the right front tooth on top) had just popped through her gum!  Ibuprofen to the rescue!  Max's tooth came in over a week ago, so we were glad to see Caroline's make its appearance...and Daniel's actually showed up by night time today, too, so everyone has three teeth poking out at the moment.

Everyone was playing and having fun until the witching hour, but even then the meltdowns were held to a minimum.  Because they were so hungry, though, we decided to go out of order and feed them before changing diapers and putting on PJs.  Daddy took Max and I took Caroline, since they were both being super fussy.  Daniel lounged on a boppy pillow on the floor and fed himself.  After they'd all finished, they sat on the mat and played with Daddy while I started the changing assembly line.

I got Caroline first - new diaper, new PJs, pacifier in mouth, and into her assigned chair.  And off to get her brother and repeat the pattern.  After changing Max's diaper, putting on his monkey PJs, and putting him down in his chair with his paci, I turned around to find...Max still sitting on the mat with Daddy!  That's right! After all my bragging about being able to tell them apart, I'd just dressed Daniel up in Max's clothes, given him Max's paci, and put him in Max's seat!  I turned around to look at him and he started LAUGHING at me hysterically!  (He'd been laughing hysterically earlier in the day, too, perhaps he was thinking up this joke then...) He giggled all the way through changing him into his OWN PJs and putting him back in his OWN chair!

Luckily, Max thought it was pretty funny too!
