The kids' school does a "Spring Fling" event around Easter time. There is a presentation where the kids sing songs they've been practicing throughout the year (unfortunately, since we don't do school on Fridays, they miss that singing class and don't know all the songs and moves, but they seem to enjoy it anyway). Then they get to go outside with bags they've decorated and hunt for eggs that they colored throughout the week. They're limited to three eggs each and I was very proud when Daniel found a fourth egg and proceeded to point it out to a classmate who hadn't gotten his allotment yet. And equally proud when Caroline traded her green egg to a classmate who was on the verge of a meltdown because she hadn't gotten her favorite color. Then it was time for juice and cookies!
