Giants Employee Party, 2014

Another even-numbered year, another Championship Season for the Giants.  This year's employee party was our opportunity to pose with the three championship trophies (2010, 2012, and 2014), which the team has taken to calling "The Triplets".  No way I could miss out on that, right?  The only problem was that there are more than 1,000 day of game employees and each was allowed to bring three guests - long line!

We got there around 10:30 and first perused the food.  Then we went outside where we were promised snow.  Sure enough, there was a small square of man-made snow in left field.  I went to check it out with the kids and then climbed up to see the line for the trophies, which were in the left field corner on the Promenade level, so just above where we were.  When I got to the top of the stairs, I saw the line.  And followed it all the way back to behind homeplate to where it ended.

And that's where I stayed for the next three hours - in line.  Uncle played with the kids in the snow (everyone's shoes and socks got SOAKED) and wandered around to the slides and the cable car and other parts of the ballpark.  All these pictures are courtesy of him, as I was stuck in line THE WHOLE TIME.

That is a snow man.  It IS.

When we finally got to the end of the line, we were lucky that the picture they took with my camera worked out, since the ones they took with the Giants' iPads somehow got lost!
