I'm sure there's tons to write about, but right now I just want to share some photos. Saturday, after everyone spent the morning with Auntie Lee Ann babysitting, we went back out to the playground. When I got home, I realized I'd taken a bunch of photos of Max, who was engrossed in picking daisies, but Daniel was almost non-existent in the pictures, even though he was running all over the place exploring the playground and grass.
Maybe Auntie has some pictures of him we can share.
Max still hasn't gotten a hair cut!
Caroline tried out the "big kids" swing
Max finds his first clump of daisies
Practicing to be a "flower boy" in an upcoming wedding?
It looks like Daniel's preparing to pounce on his brother, doesn't it?
Ooh! Lots of daisies!
Leading the way for Auntie
Because Max and Caroline did so well on the stairs at the park, we actually let them climb up the stairs when we got back to the house. Max and Daniel bumped into each other a few times, but eventually made it up. Caroline, of course, scaled them with ease.
This should come as no surprise, since climbing is her new favorite pastime:
In an effort to keep her off the chairs (and tables and bookcases), we bought Caroline this slide.
In no time she'd learned how to climb to the top (using the slide side OR the ladder) and perch on top like she's sitting on a throne. When she slides down, she waits until she thumps to a halt at the bottom, then looks up, smiles, and announces, "Wheeee!"
Addendum:
Here are some photos Auntie Lee Ann took at the playground to prove Daniel really was there:
Everyone playing in the sandbox and making friends
Daniel showing off a stick he found
I didn't realize before that Caroline has a "cropped" denim jacket
We really should figure out what to do with that hair
