Cinco de Mayo de Beisbol

For our first ballgame of the year, we set our sites on Cinco de Mayo (thanks to some discounted employee tickets).

Max was sad that we had to wait in line outside

But once we were in, we popped into the Press Box to see Daddy (and get soda).

We walked around and got some snacks and visited the slides (and Daniel actually slid this time!) And then we trekked up to our seats (Uncle took the escalator up with the kids who were up for it and I walked the ramp up with the one who was a little afraid.)  It was going to be the kids' first time in the upper deck and I wasn't sure how they would feel about it.  Not to worry - they thought it was AWESOME.

And then they cheered "Let's Go Giants, "

We had plenty of opportunity to snuggle together and take selfies.

And then the kids decided it was time to go.  Max was whining to go - because he knew that on the way out I'd promised to let him look for a toy in the store.  I wanted to go visit with Margaret, so we waited until Matt Cain (aka Hartley's Daddy) was taken out of the game in the fifth inning and we started our descent.  We sat down in front of the press box - and it was still the fifth inning.

And then we went into the press box - and it was still the fifth inning.  Colorado scored 13 runs in the fifth inning.  And then, while we watched on tv in the press lounge, the Giants responded with 4.  And so we went across the hall to look at toys, found a Giants jerseyed bear, a Giants jereseyed penguin, and a "blue seal" (Lou Seal) doll, and then headed home.

AcroSports Birthday Party Fun

One of the kids' school friends had a birthday party at AcroSports and this meant we got to try out the zipline again!  YAY!

And the trapeze!

April Goings On

Here are some highlights from the ol' photo roll this April:

We went to Sequoia for the dress rehearsal of the dance show.  The kids piled on my lap in the audience and would watch as the dancers got set on stage during the "black outs" between numbers and whisper to me, "Mommy! There's a BOY in this one!"  This happened a lot, as there are three boys in Advanced Dance and more in Intermediate.  At intermission, they were whining to go, but then one of the boys from Advanced Dance came up and introduced himself to the kids as a fellow triplet.  And then that became the focus of the second half of the show - "Mommy! That's the boy who said he's a triplet!"

Then it was time for hair cuts.  We went back to Salon de Annie and the boys got their hair shorn off - it is so thick that they seem to cut off twice as much as they have to  to get it looking sharp.

We have reached that age.  The children have learned what wedgies are.  But they are not clear on the element of surprise so they ask each other permission - "Caroline? Can I give you a wedgie?" or they even offer themselves up as victims - "Now it's MY turn to get a wedgie!"

Wedgie train!
