February and March

Along with the kids' growing independence and my ever compounding exhaustion, I seem to be taking fewer and fewer photos at each event.  But here we go, to catch up on the time between Valentines and St. Patrick's Day:

We went to Disney on Ice at the SAP Center in San Jose and the kids had a great time (though I don't know that I necessarily ever need to do that again.)

And then we had a play date with a gaggle of kids from school at the zoo.

The boys' hair was getting a tad long, so we arranged haircuts.

One day they all wanted to do yoga, "Like Master Splinter does with the Ninja Turtles"

 We scheduled a fun play date with another set of triplets whose mom works as a speech therapist in the SF School District.  It was incredibly hot and the kids ended up playing with their own siblings rather than interacting, but we were happy to at least make the effort.

And while we have historically recognized that green is "Max's color" (in fact, they have expanded their personal pallets such that Daniel now "owns" blue, yellow, and white, Max "owns" green, orange, and black, and Caroline "owns" pink, purple, and red), everyone dressed in green for St. Patrick's.  Caroline had had a different shirt picked out, but her best friend Jeweletta got her a matching St. Patty's shirt, and she absolutely could not resist the temptation to match.  Sadly, Jeweletta was sick on the 17th and so Caroline ended up wearing the shirt AGAIN the next day so she could match Jeweletta.

And that's how we made it through the end of February and the first half of March!

Valentines Weekend

The kids got to go to an extra day of school on Friday the 13th in order to attend their Valentine's Party and exchange cards and tokens with their classmates.

Then on actual Valentine's Day on Saturday, Gingere and Dylan came down to visit us and head out to Chinatown (yes, five days before the New Year...good planning, Mom) to go shopping for a birthday present for Daddy.  We strolled down Grant Street and poked our heads into a couple of shops before settling down for a little dim sum.

Then back up the street actually making some purchases and visit the art along the street.

And then it was home for a nap before heading to Grandma and Boppy's for dinner.

Sunday was Daddy's birthday, so we went shopping to get cake fixin's and came home to bake the cake, wrap the treasures they chose in Chinatown (a foot massager, a back scratcher, and a model of the Space Shuttle), and draw cards.

But even a baseball cake can be improved with sprinkles

And with candles and cards, it was a big celebration!

And the weekend was capped off with a trip to Grandma and Papa's on Presidents Day (and a trip to the movies alone for Mommy!)
